Milton Elementary Site Based Decision Making Council will hold a special meeting at 10:30 a.m. at the new school building to discuss use of stimulus funds.
The Wednesday “Be Creative at Your Library” program is Garbage Can Band. Marie Augustine will help children create homemade instruments at 10 a.m. at Bedford Elementary School.

Senior citizens will eat out at Madison, Ind., Ponderosa and shop downtown Madison at 11:30 a.m.

Trimble County Public Library’s deadline for all reading logs is 5 p.m. today. No late logs will be accepted. Remember reading prizes will be awarded to our top readers.
Senior citizens will have a Carnival Day from 10:30-2 p.m. with lunch at 11:30. This is a three-county event; everyone welcome.

Lynn Horine will be on Ky. Farm Bureau Bluegrass and Backroads at 10 a.m. CW, (Channel 7). Set your VCR/DVD to record or logon to the Ky. Farm Bureau’s website to view this program.
Mt. Hermon Baptist Church on Palmyra Road will host Vacation Bible School nightly from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, July 26, through Thursday, July 30. Children age 2 and up are invited. The theme: “We dig for God’s Treasure.” Questions or transportation requests, call (502) 255-4732.

The Trimble County Public Library oversight board meets at noon in the conference room.
Milton Lions Club meets at 6:30 p.m. on the second and fourth Monday of each month at the clubhouse on U.S. 421.
Open gym/mini camp for Trimble County Middle School girl’s basketball will be held from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, July 27-28. Physical forms will be handed out, along with schedules for the upcoming season. Playing skills will be featured. Any middle school girl interested in playing basketball should attend. Trimble County Apple Festival committee meets at 7 p.m. in the judge-executive’s office adjacent to the courthouse in Bedford.
Wednesday, July 29
Get creative meet and greet Ronald McDonald at 10 a.m. at Bedford Elementary School. This is the last Wednesday for the Trimble County Public Library’s summer reading program. Reading prizes will be awarded to the top readers.

Kindergarten Parent Night is 5:30-6:30 p.m. at Bedford Elementary School.
Tuesday, Aug. 4
Open House is 5-7 p.m. at Bedford Elementary.
Trimble County Adult Education program offers free GED preparation, job skills upgrade, paraeducator testing, college preparation, and brush-up on academic skills. The Learning Center, located behind Trimble County High School, is open 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday; 5-7 p.m. Thursday; and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the first three Saturdays of each month. Milton Christian Church hours are 5-7 p.m. Monday.
