Carroll County Extension Service held its first extension fair at its offices, 500 Floyd Dr., Saturday. A variety of stations were set up to explain programs offered. Kassandra Hickey and Mallary Bickers offered information on the 4-H Saddle Club.
The RiverView Farmers Market opened its season with booths set up for the event. They offered early vegetables, jams, jellies, honey and an assortment of plants. Mark and Monica Daniel of Daniel Farms sell plants. In the next booth, Mandy Parker has plants and eggs for sale.
Those attending the Extension fair could register to win a flat screen television from McNeal’s for visiting each of the stations and getting a stamp. Tiffany Aldridge, right, won the television. She is pictured here with Mike Lewis, chairman of the county extension council.
