-A A +A

A big thanks goes out to all 4-H exhibitors and judges for participating in the 2012 Carroll County Fair last week.

In the exhibit hall, the 4-H Grand Champion went to Jessica Foster, who entered a senior black and white drawing. The category consisted of items made through the use of drawing lines using pen, pencil, charcoal, markers or chalk.

The 4-H Reserve Grand Champion went to Haley Hendrick, who entered a photography collection.  This category consisted of three photographs, each from three different points of view of the same subject.

The livestock shows, held on June 5, saw entries in the 4-H Goat Show and Open Beef Show.

Cassidy Buchanan, a Carroll County 4-H member, won the 4-H Grand Supreme Champion Goat award with her 0-6 months old fullblood Boer goat, Chocolate’s Miracle.

Kyle Kelley, of New Castle, won the grand supreme champion heifer award with his late senior yearling Charolais heifer, S & K Silver Wind.

Allyson Beverly, of Owenton, won the reserve supreme champion heifer award with her late summer yearling Charolais heifer, S & K Lady Supreme.

Congratulations to all winners, and thank you for participating!
