Sophomore Nick Abbott took medalist honors in the NCKC conference tournament at Henry County on Sept. 21, leading all scorers with 79.

“He just put really good nines together on a day that it really counted,” Head Coach Warren McEuen said. “That’s the best he’s ever played in his life. Everything just kind of came together for him.”

As a team, Carroll finished in fourth place: Henry, 339; Trimble, 343; Owen, 352; Carroll, 356; Walton-Verona, 363; Williamstown, 379; and Gallatin, 382.

“I am extremely proud of this team and what they have accomplished,” McEuen said. “Nick scoring MVP honors at the conference tournament is one of the high points of my career. I think this team will continue to improve, and I expect a strong showing in the regional tournament on Tuesday at Boone Links.”

Junior John Michael Williams and sophomore Brady Hill scored 92s, while sophomore Zach Beckham shot a 93.
