This Thursday, Dec. 6, at 7:15 a.m. in the Cartmell Elementary School library, we will host our second monthly All Pro Dad’s breakfast.
This breakfast occurs on the first Thursday of each month. Former Indianapolis Colts football coach Tony Dungy is one of the faces for the organization. According to the All Pro Dad website, “All Pro Dad’s Day is a simple idea with a profound impact.”
The website goes on to say that the monthly breakfast, held before school, is specifically for men and their children to meet with other dads and kids in the school library or cafeteria and discuss a wide range of family topics, spend time together, create memories, and become equipped with resources to strengthen their relationships, the site states.
All Pro Dad is the fatherhood program of Family First, a national nonprofit organization based in Tampa, Fla.
The mission of Family First is to strengthen the family by establishing family as a top priority in people’s lives, and by promoting proven principles for building marriages and raising children.
The Family Minute daily e-mail and radio feature offers practical advice on marriage, parenting and family relationships, and reaches millions of readers and listeners every week.
