The Carroll County High School soccer teams hosted alumni games Saturday, Aug. 3. It was the first ever alumni game for the girls program and the sixth annual for the boys.

In the girls match, the alumni won, 8-0. While the score may have appeared one-sided, head coach Greg Damron was pleased with the way his team hung with the alumni, which included five college players.

Former Lady Panthers assistant coach Lillian Scott scored two goals, while Victoria Paytner and Bre Smith also scored two goals. Lidia Jimenez and Nikki Hill each scored.

In the boys match, the alumni won, 6-2. The varsity Panthers were down 2-0 at halftime, but scored two goals in the first 10 minutes before head coach Ben Crutcher started making substitutions.

Marvin Davila, Hugo Resendis, Josh McCarty and Zach Crutcher each scored one goal for the alumni, while Sergio Pascual scored two goals.

For the varsity, Michael Hall and Guillermo Cruz scored.
