Animal support has tremendous year

-A A +A

I am writing to humbly thank everyone who helped Carroll County Animal Support during the 2011 calendar year. We have had an amazingly successful year with memberships, donations, and volunteers at an all time high. We handled a total of 269 dogs and about 95 cats. Of those numbers, we had an all time-record for adoptions with 52 being adopted into forever loving homes. The remainder was taken in by other rescues to find forever homes and we pride ourselves in only dealing with reputable rescues whose adoption rates for our dogs have been exceptional. We are very proud of our accomplishments this year and look forward to expanding our services in the 2012 year.

We remain humbled by the community’s support. We want to list those who have helped us this calendar year, though, words just don’t seem to be enough to truly express how grateful we are: Butler Outlet Mall, the American Legion, Community Feed and Seed, Carroll County Public Library, Carroll County Fiscal Court, North American Stainless, Arkema, Kentucky Motor Speedway, Kentucky Cruizers, Carroll County Animal Clinic, Dr. Mary Zink, the Carroll County Vocational Carpentry Class, Big Al’s Market, Dollar Barn, Carroll County Memorial Hospital, Carrollton Federal Bank, both branches of the First National Bank, United Citizens Bank, Farmers Bank of Milton, Earl Floyd Ford, Herb Kinman Chevrolet, Girl Scouts Brownie Troop of Carrollton, Dana at Down on Main, Marjorie Bowers, Judy Ford, Cathy Gilbert, Dr. Nunnelley, Vickie Rand and Allstate Insurance, Mark Smith, all businesses who donated door prizes for activities and our own Carroll County Animal Support board of directors, Pat Perkins, Jeannine Perrenoud, Katrina Bartley-Baute, Lila Jo Shelton and Jarrett Boyd.

We are especially proud and grateful to our members, volunteers, and to our facebookers who have made this year such a success. Let’s do it better in 2012.
