On Thursday, Aug. 9, from 5-7 p.m. you are invited to attend the seventh annual Veterans Recognition Event.
All veterans, current military personnel, their families and those who support our military are invited to this free event at the John Black Community Center in Buckner in Oldham County.
The featured speaker is a two-tour veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom who will talk about his time in Iraq and his current issues with Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome and Traumatic Brain Injury.
His wife will participate in the presentation along with his service dog that is specifically trained to help with PTSD.
