Panthers pound Warriors, 30-1

John Michael Adams hit for the cycle in Carroll County’s 30-1 win over Eminence April 25. The junior third baseman was 6-6 at the plate, hitting three singles, a double, a triple and a home run, collecting six RBIs.

Brandon Stewart also was perfect at the plate, 3-3 with two singles, a double and three RBIs. Zakk Hicks got one hit and made it count, a two-RBI home run.

Keifer McIntyre hit a double and a triple for two RBIs and Chase Osborne hit a double and a single for two RBIs. Justin Ray hit two singles and drew three walks, while Trey Boles hit two singles for two RBIs and walked once. Both Austin Dunn and AJ Dixon singled and got an RBI. Zach Beckham walked twice and collected two RBIs, while Taylor Hill walked twice and got one RBI. Alex Burns and Will Wallace each had an RBI.

Dixon pitched a complete game, giving up just two hits, striking out five, walking one and hitting one with a pitch.

Panthers 2-1 in Harrison tourney

The baseball Panthers competed in the Harrison Memorial Hospital/McDonald’s Classic Friday and Saturday. The team lost Friday night to host Harrison County, 4-0. They defeated Madison Southern, 5-0, in their Saturday morning game and defeated Boyd County, 5-4, in the second game. Trey Boles earned the win on the mound against Madison Southern, while John Michael Adams won against Boyd County. Individual statistics were unavailable for the contests.
