CCHS girls’ beat Eminence, 77-16

Carroll County won easily over Eminence, 77-16, in the first round of the Class A tournament Thursday. All of the Lady Panthers made it into the record books, either by scoring or grabbing rebounds. Hannah Devine led the team with 28 points, followed by Nikki Hill with 9; Kayla Williamson with 8; Kyndal Curry and Tasha Hunter with 7; Jill Butcher with 5; Tatum McIntyre with 4; Kristen Amick and Makena Kindoll with 3; Makenzie Ogden with 2; and Brittany Arvin with 1. While Andrea Hardesty and Kelsey Ogden did not score, they each grabbed two rebounds in the winning effort.

Lady Panthers fall in second round

The Lady Panthers lost 63-50 to Walton-Verona in the second round of the Class A tournament Friday night. Hannah Devine led the team with 19 points and 8 rebounds, followed by Kyndal Curry and Jill Butcher both scoring 11 points. Also scoring for the Lady Panthers were Tasha Hunter with seven points and Brittany Arvin with two points.

Panthers fall to Cooper, 45-38

The Carroll County Panthers lost 45-38 to Cooper High School away Thursday night. Their next game is against border-rival Trimble County in the first round of the Class A tournament on Wednesday at Owen County.
