Lady Panthers drop season-opener

Carroll was held scoreless in the first and third quarters, losing 58-24 at Western Hills Tuesday, Nov. 27. Makena Kindoll led the team with nine points, followed by Kayla Williamson, five; Lauren Moore, four; Kristen “Doodle” Amick, two; Tatum McIntyre, two; and Miranda Groseclose, two.

Panthers take down Demons in blow out

Carroll outscored Williamstown 27-13 in the first quarter, leading to a 79-46 blow out win on the road. Dallas Gibson dominated, scoring 32 points and grabbing 13 rebounds in 24 minutes of action for his third straight double-double.

Statistics for the other Panthers are as follows: Trey Boles, 13 points, five steals, four assists, six rebounds; Brandon Stewart, nine points, three assists; Austin Crowell, eight points, four assists, two steals; Dakota Corbin, six points, four rebounds; Jacob Wise, four points, nine rebounds, four assists; Jay Damron, four points, seven rebounds; Isaiah Hogan, two points; and John Michael Adams, one point, four rebounds.

Carroll (3-0) shot 49 percent from the field and outrebounded Williamstown (1-2) by a margin of 45-21.

The boys will play on the road at Owen County Thursday, Dec. 6. The Panthers will return home Tuesday, Dec. 11 for a varsity doubleheader with the girls against Henry County. The Lady Panthers will open at 6 p.m., followed by the Panthers at 7:30 p.m.
