Lyndsey Bevill dominated the field over the weekend at the Henry County Country Club Championships.

Bevill, a high school regional champion for Carroll County a few years back, held a six-stroke lead after the first day on Saturday, then stretched it to nine on Sunday for a 10-over-par 154. Paula McGlothin finished second at 163 and Samantha Woods was third at 166. Carolyn Adcock, who has won the club championship eight times dating back to 1999, finished tied for fifth at 170.

In the women’s championship flight, Bevill wasted no time in jumping out to a comfortable lead, where she stayed throughout most of the two days. She shot 38 and 35 on day one, and 42 and 39 on day two for the nine-stroke advantage. In second place, McGlothin shot a 42 and 37 on day one, and a 43, 41 on day two. Last year, Bevill won and Adcock was second.
