Boyd elected to FKL board of directors

-A A +A

Jarrett Boyd of Madison, Ind., the retired director of Carroll County Public Library, was elected in November to a term on the board of directors for the Friends of Kentucky Libraries Inc.

FKL is a statewide non-profit organization that advocates for Kentucky public libraries on the local, state and federal levels. It also provides support for the formation  and success of local Friends chapters.

FKL was first organized in the mid-1950s, well before every county in the Commonwealth had a public library, and continued to be an active group for 30 years.

After a period of dormancy, it is back again, bringing together all those who recognize the positive influence lifelong learning, intellectual curiosity, and free access to information can bring to an individual and a community. More information on the organization is available online at www.friendskylibraries.org.
