The lack of a state budget when the new fiscal year begins on July 1 would have an adverse effect on local and county governments.
“I have a real concern over the state budget situation,” Carroll County Judge-Executive Harold “Shorty” Tomlinson said Monday. “Kentucky’s commitment for the Milton-Madison bridge is a part of that budget process and money for our local community college has been in and out of several budgets now. Those projects would bring a lot of jobs to the area.”
