Council to meet June 16 to fix ‘13-’14 budget

By Kristin Beck

The city of Carrollton may need to amend the fiscal year 2013-2014 budget for the second time after an invoice was paid from an empty line item.

Electronic Systems, a company owned by Doug Ramsey and Shawn Green, installed a new Wi-Fi system at 2Rivers Campground after Ramsey met with Mayor Gene McMurry and councilmembers Robb Adams, Dwight Louden and Mike Gordon. Electronic Systems billed the city $3,315.54 for the work, and the city paid it. However, after the budget was amended May 12, there was no longer any money in the Wi-Fi line item.
