 Carrollton Rotary Club meets every Wednesday at noon at General Butler State Resort Park.

Wednesdays @ One will be held at 1 p.m. at Carroll County Public Library with the program, The Day the New Deal Began: March 25, 1911. Dr. Allen J. Share, a professor at the University of Louisville, presents the program.

AA Big Book study group meets every Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Carrollton Christian Church, 310 Fifth St.

Carroll County Board of Education Local Planning Committee holds a public meeting at the middle school media center at 5:30 p.m.

Carroll County Tobacco Festival Committee meets at 6:30 p.m. at Welch’s Riverside Restaurant.

Saturday, May 15

Port William Historical Society holds Heritage Saturday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m., at the Masterson House with demonstrations of heritage skills, such as spinning basket weaving, wine making and lye soap making. Tours of the historic house will be available.

Saturday and Sunday, May 15-16, Butler-Turpin State Historic House steeped in haunted folklore, will host a study/investigation of paranormal activity at the historic house and cemetery. $99 per individual or $159 per couple plus tax or Sat. program only for $30 per person. Carrollton Fire Department will be collecting donations for the Crusade for Children, 6-9 p.m. at Cooper’s Restaurant.

Kentucky Kruizers holds a Saturday Cruise at Cooper’s Restaurant parking lot, 6 p.m., with 50s music and dash plaques.

Carrollton Fire Department will be soliciting door-to-door donations in the evening hours of May 19 for the WHAS Crusade for Children. If there is inclement weather the solicitation will be moved to Wednesday May 26. All donations are greatly appreciated.
