Port William Historical Society holds Heritage Saturday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m., at the Masterson House with demonstrations of heritage skills, such as spinning basket weaving, wine making and lye soap making. Tours of the historic house will be available.
Saturday and Sunday, May 15-16, Butler-Turpin State Historic House steeped in haunted folklore, will host a study/investigation of paranormal activity at the historic house and cemetery. $99 per individual or $159 per couple plus tax or Sat. program only for $30 per person. Carrollton Fire Department will be soliciting door-to-door donations in the evening hours of May 19 for the WHAS Crusade for Children. If there is inclement weather the solicitation will be moved to Wednesday May 26. All donations are greatly appreciated.
