Cartmell Elementary School Site Based Decision Making Council meets at 3:30 p.m. at the school.

American Legion Post No. 41, holds bingo at 123 Fifth Street in Carrollton, 7 p.m.

Narcotics Anonymous meets at 6:30 p.m. every Thursday at Carrollton Christian Church, 310 Fifth St.

Carroll County Board of Education meets 6 p.m. in the middle school media center.

 Lions Club meets at 7 p.m. at Butler Park lodge.  Alcoholics Anonymous meets 8 p.m. at Carrollton Christian Church. Friday, Aug. 27

Carrollton/Carroll County Tourism board meets at noon at the Tourism office, 515 Highland Ave.

Wednesday, Sept. 1

Registration forms are due for the 30th annual Jim Ramsey Tennis Tournament. Forms are available from First National Bank in Carrollton. The tennis tournament will be held Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 5-6 at Carroll County Park, starting at 9 a.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. on Sunday. For more information call (502) 396-2166.

Friday, Sept. 3

First Friday on the Courthouse Square features River View Farmers Market, the annual Kentucky Kruizers Cruise-In and the Hot Wheels Drag Race at Carroll County Public Library. Performers for the night are Vanessa Birchfield and Dennis Wheeler. Cars are still welcome to participate in the cruise-in.
