The following decisions were rendered Wednesday, and Thursday, Feb. 2 and 3, 2011, in Carroll County District Court, with the Hon. Elizabeth Chandler presiding.

DOMESTIC

Vicky Denese Harlow vs. Mark Rowland Herring, motion to dismiss, dismissed per plaintiff.

FELONY

Jason Robert Perkins, 33, theft by unlawful taking; second-degree criminal mischief, pleaded not guilty, preliminary hearing Feb. 17.

Dorette Sue Noble, 48, theft by unlawful taking, preliminary hearing Feb. 17, order restitution.

Sherri Gregg, 36, theft by deception including cold checks under $10,000, pleaded not guilty, restitution paid in full, preliminary hearing Feb. 17.

Melissa E. Milligan, 30, flagrant non-support, preliminary hearing Feb. 17.

MISDEMEANOR

David Lynn Hawkins, 47, bench warrant executed for failure to pay fines and cost.

Tosca R. Smith, 41, bench warrant executed for failure to pay costs, continued to March 3.

Kevin McCollum, 45, quash bench warrant, paid in full, review on compliant with pretrial, continued to Feb. 17.

Barry J. Wright, 30, fourth-degree assault with minor injury, pleaded not guilty, continued to Feb. 17.

Kenneth Hulsey Jr., 24, fourth-degree assault with minor injury, pleaded not guilty, continued to Feb. 17.

Daniel W. Collins, 22, two counts of fourth-degree assault with minor injury, pleaded not guilty, continued to Feb. 17.

Justin Combs, 22, fourth-degree assault with minor injury, continued to Feb. 9.

Corey R. Snow, 19, diversion completion, dismissed per pretrial.

Ricky W. Payton, 31, theft by unlawful taking, shoplifting, pleaded not guilty, continued first appearance Feb. 17.

Brittany J. Redman, 25, theft by deception including cold checks under $500, continued first appearance March 3.

Byron Anders-Dawn, 25, first-degree criminal trespassing, pretrial Feb. 17.

Ramona L. Ritch, 41, theft by deception including cold checks under $500, guilty, to make restitution, pay fines plus court costs, paid in full.

Rigoberto Mazariegos, 23, contempt, trial in absence, owes $208, continued to May 12; alcohol intoxication in a public place, first and second offense, pleaded guilty, $25 fine plus court costs.

Kenneth W. Gabbard, 36, fourth-degree assault with minor injury, jury trial Feb. 11.

Drake A. Meyer, no age given, theft by unlawful taking, shoplifting, guilty, 45 days serve 4, conditionally discharged balance, credit time served, to run concurrent, show cause Dec. 8.

Jesus Reuben Mendoza, 32, fourth-degree assault with minor injury; theft by unlawful taking, pretrial Feb. 17.

Christopher S. Wilhoite, 27, fourth-degree assault with minor injury; theft by unlawful taking, pretrial Feb. 17.

Joseph Collins, 20, fourth-degree assault with minor injury, continued to Feb. 17.

Joshua D. Martin, 31, fourth-degree assault with minor injury, pleaded not guilty, pretrial Feb. 17.

Justin L. Kyle, 19, bench warrant executed for failure to appear, bench warrant $300 cash.

Stormy D. Gunter, no age given, failure to produce insurance card, proof in case, dismissed.

Rachel A. Cooper, 34, failure to produce insurance card; no/expired Kentucky registration receipt, trial in absence Feb. 17.

Carlos C. Salvador, 26, no operators/moped license; failure to produce insurance card, continued first appearance Feb. 17.

Jason B. Stephenson, 38, failure to wear seat belts; no/expired registration plates; failure to produce insurance card, continued to Feb. 17.

Brian K. Rosell, 30, failure to wear seat belts, guilty, $25 fine plus court costs; no/expired registration plates, proof shown; failure of owner to maintain required insurance/security, first offense, proof shown.

Rene Rabago, 36, failure of owner to maintain required insurance/security, first offense, guilty, $500 fine plus court costs, serve three days, conditionally discharged to Kentucky Alternative Program for six months.

Shannon R. Robinson, 22, speeding 10 miles per hour over (limited access), to Department of Transportation.

Sarah Moss, 20, speeding 19 miles per hour over (limited access) to Department of Transportation.

Brian H. Campbell, 18, speeding five miles per hour over limit; improper passing, bench trial Feb. 17.

Robert Bard Nigel, 52, speeding 18 miles per hour over limit, to Department of Transportation.

Lindsey J. Alford, 22, excessive window tinting, windshield, trial in absence Feb. 17.

Roberto Gomez, 21, failure of owner to maintain required insurance/security, first offense, trial in absence Feb. 17.

Fabian Moraues Vasquez, 50, disregarding stop sign; no/expired registration plates, trial in absence Feb. 17.

Frank C. Rush, 28, motion hour, continued to Feb. 17.

FINAL JUDGMENT

Tammy Shelton, 36, pleaded guilty on counts one and two to first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, first offense, a class C felony and was sentenced to a term of  five years imprisonment on each count and a fine of $1,000 for each count, with said sentences to run concurrent to each other for effectively one five year sentence and one fine of $1,000 and court costs, the defendant was placed on probation under the supervision of the Division of Probation and Parole of the state of Kentucky for a period of five years effective Jan. 24, 2011, and is subject to their conditions, she is to serve 180 days incarceration and is credited with time spent namely 131 days, any cash/property bond posted can be released at this time.

Leonard H. Dodson, 28, pleaded guilty on count one to unlawful distribution of a methamphetamine precursor, first offense, a class D felony and was sentenced to three and a half years and a fine of $1,000; on count two he pleaded guilty to first-degree possession of a controlled substance, a class D felony and was sentenced to three and a half years and a fine of $1,000, with said sentences to run concurrent to each other for effectively one three and a half year sentence and one fine of $1,000 and court costs, the defendant was placed on probation under the supervision of the Division of Probation and Parole of the state of Kentucky for a period of five years effective Jan. 24, 2011, and is subject to their conditions, he is to serve 180 days incarceration and is credited with time spent namely 117 days, any cash/property bond posted can be released at this time.

Jay C. Ross III, 38, pleaded guilty on count one, two and three to first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance first offense, a class C felony and was sentenced to a term of imprisonment of five years on each count and a fine of $1,000 for each count, with said sentences to run concurrent to each other for effectively one five year sentence and one fine of $1,000 and court costs, the defendant was placed on probation under the supervision of the Division of Probation and Parole of the state of Kentucky for a period of five years effective Jan. 24, 2011, and is subject to their conditions, he is to serve 180 days incarceration and is credited with time spent namely 131 days, any cash/property bond posted can be released at this time.
