Final Judgments

Russell A. Helm, 33, pleaded guilty on counts one, two and three to first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, second or subsequent offense, all class B felonies and was sentenced to seven and a half years on each count and fined $1,000 on each count with said sentences to run concurrent to each other for effectively one seven and a half year sentence, a fine of $1,000 and court costs, said sentence to run consecutive to any backup time, the court suspends the fine, court costs and public advocacy fee, the Sheriff of Carroll County will deliver the defendant to the custody of the Department of Corrections at such location within the Commonwealth as the department shall designate, any cash/property bond posted may be refunded at this time.

Jared W. Hoskins, 27, pleaded guilty on count one to second-degree escape, a class D felony and was sentenced to two years imprisonment and fined $1,000, with said sentence to run consecutive to any backup sentence, the Sheriff of Carroll County will deliver the defendant to the custody of the Department of Corrections at such location within the Commonwealth as the department shall designate, any cash/property bond posted may be refunded at this time.

Adam C. Anderson, 21, pleaded guilty to first-degree possession of a controlled substance, first offense, a class D felony and was sentenced to one and a half years imprisonment and fined $1,000; on count two he pleaded guilty to possession of drug paraphernalia, first offense, a class A misdemeanor and was sentenced to 12 months and fined $500, with said sentences to run concurrent to each other for effectively one and a half years imprisonment and a fine of $1,000 and court costs, the Sheriff of Carroll County will deliver the defendant to the custody of the Department of Corrections at such location within the Commonwealth as the department shall designate, any cash/property bond posted may be refunded at this time.

Christopher W. Byers, 32, pleaded guilty on count one to first-degree possession of a controlled substance, first offense, a class D felony and was sentenced to two years and fined $1,000; on count two he pleaded guilty to possession of drug paraphernalia, first offense, a class A misdemeanor and was sentenced to 12 months imprisonment and fined $500, with said sentences to run concurrent to each other for effectively one two year sentence, a fine of $1,000 and court costs, with sentence to run consecutive to any backup sentence, the Sheriff of Carroll County will deliver the defendant to the custody of the Department of Corrections at such location within the Commonwealth as the department shall designate, any cash/property bond posted may be refunded at this time.

Brandi C. Harrod, 27, pleaded guilty to first-degree possession of a controlled substance, third or subsequent offense, a class D felony and was sentenced to three years and fined $1,000; on count two she pleaded guilty to operating a motor vehicle under the influence, second offense within a five year period, she was sentenced to 30 days imprisonment and fined $500, revocation of license for 12 months and she is to pay a DUI service fee; on count three she pleaded guilty to possession of drug paraphernalia, first offense, a class A misdemeanor, and was sentenced to 12 months and fined $500; on count four she pleaded guilty to owner failed to maintain required insurance, first offense, and was sentenced to a fine of $1,000; on count five she pleaded guilty to failure to use a seat belt and was fined $25, with said sentences to run concurrent to each other for effectively one three year sentence, a fine of $1,000 and court costs, the defendant was placed on probation under the supervision of the Division of Probation and Parole of the State of Kentucky for a period of three years effective July 9, 2012, and is subject to their conditions.

Kacie N. Barnett, 24, pleaded guilty to first-degree possession of a controlled substance, first offense, a class D felony and was sentenced to three years imprisonment and fined $1,000; on count two she pleaded guilty to possession of drug paraphernalia, first offense, a class A misdemeanor and was sentenced to imprisonment of 12 months and fined $500, with said sentences to run concurrent to each other for effectively one three year sentence, a fine of $1,000 and pay court costs, the defendant was placed on probation under the supervision of the Division of Probation and Parole of the State of Kentucky for a period of three years effective July 9, 2012, and is subject to their conditions.

Crawford, 26, was indicted on count one to second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, first offense, a class D felony, punishable by not less than one year nor more than three years in the penitentiary and a fine of not less than $1,000 nor more than $10,000 in that she knowingly and unlawfully trafficked in a schedule III narcotic, namely hydrocodone; on count two she was indicted on first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, first offense, a class D felony punishable by imprisonment for not less than one year nor more than five years in the penitentiary and a fine of not less than $1,000 nor more than $10,000 in that she knowingly and unlawfully trafficked in a schedule I narcotic drug, namely heroin; on count three the defendant became a persistent felony offender, punishable by imprisonment for not less than five years nor more than 10 years in the penitentiary in that she is more than 21 years of age and stands convicted of a felony after having been convicted of a prior felony, namely by final judgment of the Carroll Circuit Court on or about Aug. 8, 2011, for the felony offense of criminal possession of a forged prescription, first offense, for which she was sentenced to a term of imprisonment of three and a half years; and by final judgment of the Carroll Circuit Court, on or about Aug. 8, 2011, for the felony offense of first-degree possession of a controlled substance, for which she was sentenced to a term of imprisonment of three years to run concurrent to each other, that the defendant was sentenced to one year or more imprisonment, that she was over the age of 18 at the time the  offenses were committed and she completed service of the sentence imposed on the previous felony convictions within five years prior to the date of the commission of the felony for which she now stands convicted.
