Court approves first reading for reapportionment plan
By of a vote of 2-1, Carroll County Fiscal Court approved the first reading Tuesday of the ordinance to accept, in its entirety, recommendations from the reapportionment committee.
Magistrate Dean Miller cast the dissenting vote, because he said he was not ready to accept the results.
Miller said he has no problem with what the three-member committee did, but said he wants to see the numbers from the 2010 U.S. census that explains why the changes are needed in the first place.
