In the first home game under new coach Kristen Arbinger, the Carroll County Lady Panther varsity volleyball team fell to visiting Dixie Heights.

The Lady Panther varsity volley ball team hosted the Lady Colonels of Dixie Heights losing the final two matches 27-25 and 25-21 after winning the first match 25-20, Tuesday September 1.

The Lady Panthers are evenly staffed with three seniors, three juniors and two sophomores, but they were not able to finish off the Lady Colonels in the waning minutes of two matches.  The Lady Panthers led each match, but the Lady Colonels would not give up and fought their way back to victory late in the last two matchs.

A frustrated coach Arbinger said, “second place is never fun. We certainly played well, played hard. I’m proud of my girls and how strong they played.”

“We’re going to concentrate on getting the ball back up to the setter,” Arbinger said.  “We need to quicken up our pace to the game.  Our passes are a little bit too high so we need to bring them down a little bit and keep them accurate.”
