In the final meet of the cross country season, the Lady Panthers ran a great race, finishing just outside of the automatic qualifying times for State. Freshman Kelsey Ogden led the team finishing 24th with a time of 24 minutes and 46 seconds. Junior Brittany Arvin came in 26th place, followed by junior Andrea Hardesty in 27th and eighth grader Kirsten Arvin in 28th place.

The Panthers cross country team also finished up their season. The team was short a few runners to qualify for a team score, but head coach Joe Creager said he looks for his team to improve next year as all of the runners who competed in Regionals will be on the team next year. Junior Benjamin Tingle led the Pa-nthers, finishing in 36th place with a time of 22 minutes and 1.4 seconds. Sophomore Austin Blankenship finished in 40th, with junior Jacinto Martinez right behind in 41st place.

Creager said Carroll County was also chosen to host the 2014-2015 Class A Region 5 Championship meet.

“It is a great honor, and we look forward to building our program over the next few years to make our team a real threat in the Region,” he said. “I would like to thank everyone for their support this season, and I look forward to updating you with great news and results from the Panthers this spring as we return to action in track.”
