Carroll County High School theater department’s latest production will be the musical “Camelot.” The Lerner and Loewe play depicts the tale of King Arthur and the fictitious land of Camelot. The director for the local production is Jennifer Beach, and the choreographer is Cindy Hedges.

King Arthur, the king of Camelot, is played by Conner Dermon. Dermon said he saw the production “couple of years ago,” and has wanted to do it ever since. In fact, the play was in his “bucket list of musicals, top ten.” When he first tried out for “Camelot,” he had his eye on the part of Lancelot, but said he is happy with the part of Arthur.

The production promises to have lots of music, magic, love, adventure and fun. There will be one showing of “Camelot” on March 9 at 7 pm. There also will be two showings on March 10, one at 2 pm, and one at 7 pm. All performances will be held at the Carroll County High School. Tickets can be purchased at the door, $3 for students and $5 for adults.
