Chamber programs offer education, entertainment for members, community

April is a busy month for the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce, with many opportunities for businesses in the community to learn, grow and network. Check out some of the happenings around the county.

Lunch and Learn

Come join us for the Chamber’s “Lunch and Learn” event Thursday, April 18 at the Carroll County Public Library, 136 Court Street, Carrollton. This event will be held from noon to 1 p.m. and will allow businesses to network, eat and enrich.

The topic for the Lunch and Learn is “Corporate Sustainability and Environmental Management.” The program will focus on strategies and case studies from the Kentucky Excellence in Environmental Leadership Program. Kentucky EXCEL offers a home for individuals, businesses and organizations looking to make a contribution to improving Kentucky’s environment.

Presenters include Maria Eichelberger, environmental manager at North American Stainless; John Eisiminger of Kentucky EXCEL, Kentucky Department of Compliance Assistance; and Daniel Jelinek of ENVIRON International.

The lunch is sponsored by Fairview Place Senior Living, 433 Floyd Drive, Carrollton.

Golf scramble

The Carroll County Chamber of Commerce’s 10th annual Golf Scramble will be held on Wednesday, May 15 at the Fairway Golf Course in Wheatley.

The proceeds from the event provide funding for scholarships for our local students and Chamber events. Tee off begins at 8 a.m.

Race Fest

The Carroll County Chamber of Commerce’s Race Fest Day will be held on Wednesday, June 26 at the Carroll County Courthouse Square. The event will begin at 5 p.m.

This exciting racing-inspired event is the official pre-race celebration and held on the Wednesday before June weekend (June 27, 28, 29) of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series at the Kentucky Speedway.

Vendors can reserve a space to display and sell merchandise costs $50 for an 8’ x 8’ space.  Carroll County Chamber of Commerce members pay only $25. Non-profit organizations are encouraged to set up as well at no charge. To reserve a space, contact the chamber office.
