This year’s “A Christmas Carroll” held on Saturday, Dec. 3, will include a scavenger hunt that involves the popular Christmas song “The Twelve Days of Christmas.” Participating downtown businesses will be displaying posters with graphics and lyrics for one of the 12 days. Those participating in the scavenger hunt need to pick up an entry form at either The News-Democrat office, 122 Sixth Street anytime during the week of Nov. 28-Dec. 2, or at “A Christmas Carroll,” Carrollton Main Street table under the tent on the Court House square on Dec. 3.
It’s easy and fun. Just visit the participating businesses, locate the poster with the graphic and record the name of the business next to the appropriate day. Deposit completed entry forms in the box at the Carrollton Main Street Program’s table by 3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3 and if your entry is drawn and you have the correct answers, you will win $50 in Carroll County Chamber gift certificates.
A list of participating businesses in the scavenger hunt will be available at The News-Democrat office, the Carrollton Main Street Program table at “A Christmas Carroll” and will be published in The News-Democrat on Nov. 23, Happy hunting.
