Christmas in Ghent

The Ghent Community Event Committee recently sponsored a Christmas activity for 29 local children who turned out to participate.

The Ghent Community Event Committee recently sponsored a Christmas activity for 29 local children who turned out to participate.

The youngsters decorate their own stockings, which were later filled with goodies and gifts by Ghent volunteers. During the event, they bagged fruit for distribution around the city.

Children and chaperones loaded up on a hay ride to go around the city and deliver fruit bags and cookie bags donated by Ghent Baptist Church, and to sing Christmas carols. When the delivery was complete, the youngsters enjoyed cookies to celebrate the holiday.
