Christmas wreath winner announced

Editor:

The second Christmas wreath decorating contest and silent auction was held by Carrollton Federal Bank Dec. 10 in conjunction with an open house. The proceeds from the silent auction went to the Meals on Wheels Program. All of the wreaths submitted for the contest displayed imagination and creativity. This was evident by the close race for first place with only one vote difference between first and second place.  It was our honor to display the wreaths in our lobby.  They were beautifully decorated and received many compliments by the public.

We would like to extend our gratitude to the following Christmas wreath decorating contest participants that competed for the $100 first place grand prize: Peggy Dellaquila, Jodie Kemper, Barbara Yeary, Jenna Noland, Kelsey Noland, Lisa Noland, Carroll County U-14 Lady Panthers Softball Team, Shirley Jean Roberts, Vickie Townsend, Barbara Boswell, Chuck’s Chix Softball Team and Jobs for America’s Graduates.

We would like to extend our gratitude to the silent auction participants. Congratulations to the silent auction winners.

The grand prize winner of $100. for our wreath decorating contest, selected by the public, was Jodie Kemper.  She charitably donated her grand prize winnings to the Meals on Wheels Program.  We would like to express our gratitude for her generosity and support.

Our second annual wreath decorating contest was a success.  We look forward to the continuation of displaying the local community talent in our lobby for the public’s enjoyment for many years to come. We hope that it continues to grow each year with an increasing number of participants.
