Revival services set at Relevant Church

Relevant Church will hold revival services with the Rev. Norman Parsley of Cincinnati, Ohio, at 7 p.m. March 1-2 and at 11 a.m. March 3. Relevant Church is located at 2505 Highland Ave. in Carrollton.

Harris to minister at Second Baptist

The Rev. Preston Wayne Harris has been chosen as the new pastor at Second Baptist Church of Carrollton. Harris is a Carrollton native, having graduated from Carroll County High School. He attended Georgetown College and served in the U.S. Army for nine years.

Harris completed courses at Liberty Bible Institute and is presently attending Liberty University. He previously served as assistant pastor at Maddoxtown, Ky. First Baptist Church. He will retire from his work at the Federal Bureau of Prisons Department of Justice after 20 years of service so that he can devote full time as pastor. Joining him is his wife of 31 years, Melanie Harris.

Second Baptist Church holds church services at 11 a.m. on Sundays with Sunday School at 10 a.m. Wednesday night service along with Bible study starts at 7 p.m. All are welcome.

Soup supper planned at Apostolic church

The First Apostolic Church, 111 Third St. in Carrollton is hosting its annual spring Soup Supper from 4-7:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22. Everyone is welcome. Chili along with taco, vegetable, potato, broccoli and bean soups will be served along with a variety of sandwiches and drinks. Donations are accepted for this event.

Apostolic church to host youth rally Feb. 23

The First Apostolic Church will host an Ignite Youth Rally at 2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 23. Indiana Bible College of Indianapolis, Ind. will be sending students to lead the service. Guests will include Indiana Bible College singers, musicians, along with minister Elijah Kiser. Everyone in the community is welcome to attend.

Tillers to celebrate fifth year at church

Pastor and Mrs. Ron Tiller of The Pentecostals of Carrollton Church, 103 Park Lanes Center in Carrollton invite all to celebrate with them their fifth pastoral anniversary, Feb. 22-24. Friday evening celebration will start at 7 p.m., Saturday at 5 p.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m. Pastor Mark Copeland of Sebastopol, Miss., will be one of the speakers.

Hymn sing to be held at church in Sanders

Sanders Baptist Church will host its monthly hymn sing at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 24 The public is invited to attend.
