 First Baptist hold Bible school July 15-19

First Baptist Church of Carrollton at 401 Highland Avenue hosts Vacation Bible School Sunday, July 15-Thursday, July 19.

Children and parents can arrive at 5:30 p.m. for dinner each evening. Each session runs from 6-8:15 p.m. Please call the church office at (502) 732-4396 if transportation is needed.

Worthville Pentecostal revival is July 12-13

The Worthville United Pentecostal Church and Pastor Raymond Sharon would like to invite all to a Revival this week. Services on Thursday and Friday, July 12-13 will begin at 7 p.m.  Saturday service will be at 2 p.m.  The Rev. David Johnson from Michigan will be the speaker.

Cove Hill holds one-day Bible camp July 14

Cove Hill Baptist Church, 4751 Mound Hill Rd. will host a one day Vacation Bible School camp on Saturday, July 14. Children age 4-12 are invited to spend the day learning about God’s Fruit of the Spirit through Bible Study, games, crafts and more from 10 a.m. to about 7:30 p.m. For information or transportation, call Pastor Joe (502) 347-9987.

Comparative religion begins this fall at JCTC

An Introduction to Comparative Religion Course is being offered by JCTC’s Carrollton Campus, REL 130, for the fall 2012 semester. This course will offer a comparative analysis of world religions, emphasizing beliefs, rituals, artistic expressions and cultural and social organization. 

The course includes both Eastern and Western religions and will be taught by the Rev. Chris White on Tuesdays from 6-8 p.m. Donavan Scholarships are available and will allow anyone age 65+ to attend this course tuition free, this scholarship does not cover textbooks. Regular tuition costs is $460 with an estimated book cost from $66-132. Fall term begins Aug. 13. For information call the Carrollton campus at (502) 732-4846
