MADISON, IND. – Clarence J. Gosman, 88, of Madison died Saturday, Aug. 23, 2008, at King’s Daughters’ Hospital in Madison.
Funeral services were Tuesday, Aug. 26, at the Morgan and Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive, Madison, with Bro. Clarence Doyle officiating. Burial was in the Olive Branch Cemetery near Madison.
Mr. Gosman was born Nov. 23, 1919, in Bedford, Ky., to the late Shelby and Ethel Gosman. He was raised in Bedford, moving to Jefferson County in 1947, where he was a lifelong farmer. He married Doris Kent Gosman on July 29, 1939. They were married for 65 years until her death June 12, 2004.
Survivors include his two sons, Jim (Becki) Gosman and Dave (Judy) Gosman of Madison; two sisters, Nola (Ira) McCutcheon of Kent, Ind., and Nancy Wright of Clarksville, Ind.; three brothers, Jesse (Susie) Gosman of Greenwood, Ind., William Jack (Barbara) Gosman of Seymore, Ind., and Leon (Helen) Gosman of Bedford; seven grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Lee Gosman, and a brother, Marvin Gosman.
