State Auditor Adam Edelen last week released the final report of an audit of the Carroll County Clerk’s Office for a year that saw a deputy clerk indicted and fired for writing bad checks that she cashed in the office.
Overall, the audit report for the fiscal year ending Dec. 31, 2011 states that County Clerk Alice Marsh’s “financial statement presents fairly the revenues, expenditures, and excess fees of the Carroll County clerk in conformity with the regulatory basis of accounting.”
