4-H encompasses seven curriculum areas that include animal sciences, communications, family consumer sciences, health, leadership, natural resources, and SET – science, engineering and technology.
The focus for this month was animal science, during which we hosted a livestock clinic featuring goats, sheep, swine and beef. Carroll County is blessed to have a certified livestock leader, Jason Stephenson, who gave an overview of the livestock program. Also included was Joseph Vessels, who is the agriculture teacher and FFA adviser at Carroll County High School.
