Club holds ninth show: attracts more participation

-A A +A

On May 6, 7 and 8, the Pioneer Power Tractor Club held its ninth annual tractor show in Carrollton. Despite the weather and rain showers over the weekend, we had a great crowd of spectators and exhibitors.

We had about 170 pieces of equipment on display and in demonstrations. We had exhibitors from as far away as Liberty, Ky. and spectators from as far as LaPorte, Ind. attend the show. Several vendors were there selling everything from buffalo burgers to handmade local crafts.

The kiddie pedal tractor pull, live animals and the parade were big hits again this year. There were about 20 kids in the pedal pull and about 29 tractors in the parade.

We want to thank everyone who helped us put on this show. There were several people and businesses that volunteered and supported us and we thank you.

We had many exhibitors whom without their desire to preserve agricultural history our show would not be a success.

We thank you all and look forward to growing and expanding in the future in preserving some of our history.

A special thanks goes out to Kentucky Motor Service and Millers Auto Sales for the unlimited support they have given us.

The list of local business and sponsors is so great we could not name them all, but we appreciate the support of each and every sponsor.

The show would not continue to grow without the support of the community, sponsors, exhibitors and spectators.
