Carroll County High School Site Based Decision Making Council meets at 4 p.m. in the high school conference room.

Thursday, Oct. 18

  • Haven of Hope Pregnancy Services will celebrate their fourth anniversary with free cookies and a coffee buffet offered from 6:30-8 p.m. at the Old English Schoolhouse, 3589 Hwy 389 in Carrollton.
  • Alcoholics Anonymous meets at 6:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. every Thursday at Carrollton Christian Church.

Friday, Oct. 19

  • Worthville Christian Church will hold a clothing give-away for the needy beginning at 9 a.m. today and Saturday, Oct. 20. The church has plenty of children’s clothes for families that attend.
  • AA Big Book study groups meet every Friday at 2 p.m. at Carrollton Christian Church, 310 Fifth St.
  • Christian Academy of Carrollton will host their Fall Festival at the National Guard Armory from 3:30 – 8 p.m. They’ll be offering a silent auction, kids booth and games; cake walks; door prizes; live Christian music; Fun Zone Inflatables, funnel cakes; chili, hot dogs, pimento cheese and PB&J sandwiches, and lots more, for information call (502) 732-4734.
  • Alcoholics Anonymous meets at 8 p.m. every Friday at the Warsaw First Christian Church, 207 W. High St., Warsaw.

Saturday, Oct. 20

  • Port William Historical Society hosts its annual Heritage Day event featuring demonstrations, historical displays, arts and crafts and more from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Masterson House in Carrollton.
  • Worthville Fire Department Golf Scramble at General Butler State Park in Carrollton. Tee-time is 9 a.m., cost is $200 for a four person team.   • The Carroll County High School Soccer Program is sponsoring a Zombie 5K Run at Carroll County Westrick Park starting at 6 p.m., registration starts at 5 p.m. Registration forms may be picked up at Carroll County High School and Middle School, Carroll County Parks and Recreation Office, both

  • Annual “Toy Run”, sign in 11 a.m. till noon, ride leaving at 12:30 p.m. from Sunset Grill located on U.S. 42 in Warsaw, food will be provided at end of ride by Sunset Grill. Destination is dependent on weather. Entry fee $10 per person or new toy of same value, extra hands of cards $5 each. All proceeds go to the Toy Run and to buy Christmas presents for the VA Hospice unit. Toys and money to be distributed locally in community.

The First Apostolic Church will hold its 78th church anniversary services at 10 a.m. today. Bishop Spencer McCool, of Utica, Mich., will be the guest speaker. Everyone is welcome to join in the celebration services.

Carroll County Middle School Site Based Decision Making Council meets at 4 p.m. in the middle school media center.
