Stamp Out Hunger drive set for Saturday

Stamp Out Hunger, the annual letter carriers’ food drive, is Saturday, May 14. Please place nonperishable donations in a bag by your mailbox.

Carriers will pick up donations and deliver them  to the local food pantry.

Walk to benefit Brain Aneurysm Foundation

The first Monie Boldery Brain Aneurysm Walk for a Cause starts 11 a.m. Saturday, May 14, at Robert Westrick Park in Carrollton. Cost is $10; shirts may be pre-ordered for $10. Spirits of Butler returns with many new features

Spirits of Butler Paranormal Investigation at the Butler-Turpin State Historic House, at General Butler State Resort Park, is Saturday, May 14. Tristate Shadow Chasers will join ghost hunter Starr Williams and the technology of RIP.

May brings a whole new dimension to this popular ghost-hunting event, including new locations, new technology and new ideas. Infrared, EVP readings and cameras set up throughout the house will catch orbs for big-screen viewing, and enhanced audio devices will catch what the human ear cannot. Investigate the historic house, kitchen, cemetery, log house site, Civilian Conservation Camp and lakeside, with added history for each location.

Paul representative to visit Carroll County

Bernie Kunkel, field representative for U.S. Sen. Rand Paul, will be meet with constituents from 4-7 p.m. Monday, May 23, at the Carroll County Public Library.
