Community shows support for animals

-A A +A

Carroll County Animal Support is proud to be a part of this community and of the support that we receive from the community.

At our recent Yard Sale and Adoption Event held this past month, we were amazed at the amount of items donated for the yard sale from organizations and individuals.

We would especially like to thank the Carrollton Woman’s Club for their items donated and for taking our organization on as their charity — wonderful women. We would like to make note of Al’s Market for not only donating food items for the concession, but for supplying us with an employee to work with us throughout the day — great people.  C.C. Downey with FunZone Inflatables is a dear and always available for us, thank you.  A special, “nice going” and thank you goes out to our own junior member Sara Ritcher with her wonderful Lemonade Stand.

We made a lot of money and had the chance to show the community some of the dogs and cats that we have available for adoption.  This summer has been a very hot one, and therefore tough on animals. This is especially so for the homeless animals.

The animal shelter has been at full capacity the entire summer, and our foster homes are full. We appreciate all of the hard work that Leonard Danner does through the animal shelter in his care and efforts to help us get dogs out of the shelter and into homes. But, we cannot do it alone. We desperately need more foster homes and forever homes.  Please let us know if you are interested in either.  Our animals are wonderful and they need to be cared for. Don’t purchase a dog or cat from a store, think of our animals first. We currently have close to 50 in care that need homes.  Ask about meeting them, we believe that you will fall in love.

Thanks again, and remember “We thank you from the bottom of our paws.”
