Elwood Moore competed in the “Battle of the Cats,” sponsored by United Citizens Bank & Trust Co. on Jan. 3 at halftime of the Carroll vs. Henry girls game. He took three shots from the free throw line, 3-point line and halfcourt in an attempt to win up to $5,000. Unfortunately, Moore did not make any of the shots, but still won $500 for playing. T-shirts for both teams were also thrown into the crowd by the Carroll County High School cheerleaders.
