County may take on Flood Court; state to replace Jones Lane bridge

Trimble County Fiscal Court gave preliminary approval April 20 to a request to take over Flood Court, a gravel road off Webb Lane, pending additional improvements.

Residents of Flood Court were asked to provide a 40-foot-by-50-foot turn-around or 100-foot diameter cul-de-sac at the end of the 1,020-foot road. One neighbor also was asked to extend a culvert from 16 feet to 28 feet, as required by county ordinance. Additionally, magistrates asked that the ditch along the road be cleaned out and shoulders graded to improve drainage.
