County to seek three Homeland Security grants

Carroll County Fiscal Court approved three Homeland Security resolutions last week that could provide more than $133,100 in grant funds of local law enforcement equipment.

The county voted to seek the funds through the United States Department of Homeland Security in three grant applications during fiscal court’s April 28 meeting.

The largest, for $77,217, would provide communications upgrades for the Carroll County Sheriff’s Department communications equipment.
