Carroll County Fiscal Court was awarded a Federal Emergency Management Agency grant that will allow it to purchase eight new community outdoor warning sirens and three consoles for Carroll County Dispatch.
The total cost of the project is $161,920, with federal grants paying for $121,440. A state matching grant will cover $19,430, leaving the county $21,050 to pay for.
Judge-Executive Harold “Shorty” Tomlinson congratulated Carroll County Community Development Executive Director Joan Moore and Emergency Management Director Ed Webb on getting the grant.
