Crusade was a success

-A A +A

As another successful Crusade for Children comes to a close, I would like to personally thank all those that helped in some way with our fundraising efforts during our 10th annual Crusade Golf Scramble.

Our combined resources really made a difference by helping to raise $5,800 for the WHAS Crusade for Children, down slightly from last year’s $6,000. Thank you to IMI, North American Stainless, First National Bank of Carrollton, Mark Smith’s State Farm, Todd Grace’s Farm Bureau, Kentucky Utilities, Arkema Inc, and United Citizens – Carrollton Banking branch for your hole sponsorship during this year’s golf scramble. Thank you to the teams that came out and supported a good cause. Thanks to all the businesses that donated door prizes including Cornerstone Floral, Artful Gifts, Mane Studio, Kentucky Motors, O’Reillys Auto Parts, Advanced Auto, Easy Pro Property Services, Chapman Tire, Cooper’s Chicken, KFC, McDonalds, Burger King, Subway – Downtown, General Butler State Park, Carroll County Public Library, The News-Democrat, Toole an Rose Supply, and Kristin Sherrard Photography. Thank you to Kroger for our food donations and lending out your tents. Thank you Carroll County Fair Board for the ice. Thank you to all those that assisted in helping set up, and thank you to Fairway Golf Course for allowing us the opportunity to use your facilities.

These “thank yous” are on top of all the help we received during our door to door collection efforts, and again I would just like to remind these individuals how special they are and how much Carrollton Fire really appreciates your help every year: First National Bank, Hometown Pizza, Papa Johns, Snappy Tomato Pizza, Kentucky Kruizers, the Carrollton Boy Scout and Girl Scout troops and their families, and all our extended family members. Thank you so very much.
