Serving as magistrate of District 3 for the past three years and announcing my candidacy for re-election, I want each of you to know I am grateful for and humbled by the opportunity to serve in a county that I hold in such high regard.
Being magistrate, much less being in a leadership position, is a special privilege.
As a first-time magistrate, I finished all the training required by the state. I feel with this training I am better qualified to serve and to help Trimble County achieve its goals. I believe a broad base of training and experience is the key to providing quality leadership.
The diversified training will enable me to benefit the people of District 3, and I will use this training to make a difference. If re-elected, I look forward to my continuing education in county government.
Look around your county at what is going on and how it’s future is going to affect you and your family. Know the issues and know the candidates.
This election is about who can most effectively represent the values and priorities for you and all of Trimble County. My goal is first class. Let me hear from you about the issues that need to be emphasized. Your concerns are my concerns, and I assure you your voice will be heard.
Some discussions are not always easy, though they should be made in the best interest of the county. And if re-elected, I assure you I will serve the county’s needs with civility, decency and integrity, keeping you – the taxpayers – in mind.
I feel my job is to provide courteous and prompt service, staying focused on what’s important, what the big picture is and staying on track and on budget, while being dedicated to the betterment of the county.
Again, I want to express my gratitude to you for having faith in my ability to lead such a great county for the past three years, and I would like to continue on the path we started. We’ve come a long way together.
Let’s stay on course and make this a great time to forge ahead.
Voting is an awesome responsibility and is very important. So, remember, the upcoming election is Tuesday, May 18. Vote for a candidate who will reflect your needs. You participation is critical, and if re-elected, I will serve in a dignified and professional manner.
Let’s all win in 2010.
