Early Head Start, Head Start not in session Tuesday, Oct. 30

The Carroll County School District released the following statement Tuesday morning:

"Due to a bus accident involving students enrolled in the Carroll County Child Development Center, the Head Start and Early Head Start Programs will not be in session today, Oct. 30.

'Words cannot describe the grief that our families and staff are experiencing,' said Lisa James, superintendent of the Carroll County School District.  'Our thoughts and prayers go out to those families involved in this tragic accident.

'As this tragedy affects so many students, staff, and families members in our broader community, please keep us all in your prayers.'

James thanks the emergency responders from Carroll County and neighboring communities who have worked diligently during this crisis.

'We are fortunate to have such strong support from our community whose outpouring of prayer and support have been overwhelming.'"
