Family fun at the Fourth: Festival features fireworks, food, vendors

The second annual City of Carrollton Fourth of July celebration is bigger and better than its inaugural predecessor. Country music singers T.G. Sheppard and Kelly Lang will headline a concert before the firework spectacle. The city increased spending on fireworks from $12,500 to $15,500, which will make for a longer and more impressive show, Mayor Gene McMurry said.
