Fire damages apartment in detached garage

An apartment in a detached garage at 745 Eagle Creek Circle, outside of Worthville, caught fire Monday afternoon, sending three fire departments in response to the call.

New Liberty Fire Chief Greg Davis said the property is owned April Harmon. The detached garage that had been converted into an apartment and has been rented to tenants. The most recent tenant moved out at Christmastime, he said.

The cause of the fire was undetermined by press time. Information will be posted when it becomes available.
