A new Big Brothers Big Sisters of Carroll County chapter is a huge step closer to reality following action taken Tuesday by Carroll County Fiscal Court to contribute toward the agency’s startup budget. The court approved a $5,000 donation toward a fundraising effort that puts the steering committee past the $15,000 projected for a startup budget.
The purpose of forming an organization of this type is to help children reach their potential through professionally supported one-on-one relationships with measurable impact.
