A FOND FAREWELL

The Carroll County community, along with friends and family, turned out Saturday to send off  Carrollton’s National Guard Unit. The 62 members of Alpha Battery, 2nd Battalion, 138th Artillery, were headed first to Camp Atterbury for mobilization training in Indiana before being deployed to Camp Lemonniere in Djibouti, Africa, in October for a nine-month tour.  Saturday’s event featured local government leaders and an address by Command Sgt. Maj. Jimmy Supplee, U.S. Army (Ret.).
