Brent McMahan, formerly of Carrollton, was sentenced to a one-year jail sentence with 180 days suspended on Dec. 1, 2009 in Edmunds County, S.D., according to Paige Wilbur, press secretary for South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley.
The conditions are that he pay a $2,000 fine and report to jail by early January, Wilbur said.
McMahan pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of sexual contact without consent. He does not have to register as a sex offender, she said.
