Emergency responders from Milton, Bedford, Westside and La Grange fire departments responded to a house fire Wednesday morning, Aug. 25, on Richmond Road in Milton.

The two-story, A-frame house is owned by Steve and Amy Renfro. No one was home at the time of the fire, and there were no injuries.

The fire was first reported at 7:55 a.m., according to information on the Milton Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department’s website.

The angle and pitch of the roof made extinguishing the smoldering fire difficult for firefighters, who worked the scene for more than three hours.

The arson investigator from Kentucky State Police Post 5 was called to the scene late Wednesday morning.

KSP public affairs officer Trooper Michael Webb said Monday that the investigator was unable to determine the cause, but found nothing suspicious.
