Recently, I competed in the Miss Kentucky County Fair state level pageant. I represented Miss Carroll County among 88 other beautiful women.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank a few helpful individuals and organizations who helped make this experience an event I will never forget.

First and foremost, I would like to thank pageant director and coordinator Jill Sachleban, as well as the entire fair board, including individuals such as Tammy McBurney and Kevin Craig for supporting me financially and mentally.

Thanks to the entire fair board for your support and dedication that you have lent me throughout this entire process and for being spectators at the state pageant.

Next, I would like to thank my family and friends for their undying support and enthusiasm towards myself and the competition. Thank you for your financial and optimistic support that I will always cherish.

Next, I would like to recognize and thank a few businesses for lending their marquees and wishing me good luck with the state pageant. It was very rewarding to me, to see my name mentioned with your business.Thank you Hometown Pizza and Miller’s Auto Sales.

Last, but certainly not least, I would like to thank the community as a whole. I have felt so honored to represent Carroll County with pride because of the community support. I received friendly phone calls, wishful cards and letters, messages and comments from community members and professionals that made me feel honored to represent such a wonderful county.

Thank you to everyone who had a hand in making this experience so very memorable. I may have come home without the title, but I came home with something more important than that — great, new friends, memories that will last a lifetime and gracious, sincere support from a community that I cherish wholeheartedly.
